New Moms 101

Being a new mom brings so many questions. Find easy ways to prepare you, your family and your home for your newest addition. We've taken the thinking and worrying out of making sure your home is clean and ready for your newest addition.

Having Lots of Questions is Normal

There's no doubt that as your delivery date approaches, you are likely to have more questions every day. Remember, your healthcare provider is familiar with these questions — and has likely been asked all of them many times before.

  • Never hesitate to ask about anything that is on your mind, no matter how silly or embarrassed you might feel. It is much better to alleviate all of your fears and concerns than letting the "unknowns" cause you worry and stress. Your healthcare provider is there to make sure that everything goes smoothly for you.
  • In addition, chat with other expectant moms — friends, women you have met in prenatal classes or at your prenatal appointments, and other acquaintances. Sharing with others will help you realize that you are not the only one with questions. Wondering what to expect is perfectly normal!
