Lysol in clothes

Answered by Lysol

I really need help. I am super super sensitive to chemicals including lysol products. I have a sweater that accidentally got some lysol disinfectant spray on it. I need to know if I rinse the sweater in regular white vinegar before I wash it, will that strip all the lysol chemicals away? If the vinegar won't work, is there anything natural that I can treat my sweater in that will totally strip away all the lysol product? Thank you so much for your help :)

Hi again, without knowing your individual health situation and sensitivities in detail, you may wish to verify with a HCP whether our recommendation will sufficiently clean the garment in question. For everyday situation, our remedy would be effective.

So what you're saying is that regular detergent will strip away all the chemicals?

Hi there, we suggest you wash the garment with your normal detergent in the warmest water. Check the garment care label carefully. If you feel necessary, you may wish to repeat the process.
