ELIGIBILITY: “LYSOL® Match & Win” instant Win Game & Sweepstakes (“Promotion”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) united states and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations. Employees of Reckitt Benckiser Inc. (“Sponsor”), Invenda Corp., Arrowhead Promotion and Fulfillment Co., and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, and advertising and promotion agencies, and members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), and persons living in the same household of each, are not eligible to enter or win. The Instant Win Game & Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. By participating, you agree to these official rules and to the decisions of the sponsor and independent judges whose decisions are final and binding in all respects. PROMOTION PERIOD: The “LYSOL® Match & Win” Instant Win Game & Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 AM (Eastern Time ["ET"]) on October 1, 2009 and ends at 11:59 PM (ET) on October 30, 2009 (the "Promotion Period"). Administrators’ computer is the official time keeping device for the Instant Win Game & Sweepstakes.

4. INSTANT WIN GAME: TO ENTER: Online entries only. ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON/PER EMAIL/PER COMPUTER PER DAY WILL BE ACCEPTED. During the promotion period, visit the Sponsor’s website at www.lysol.com and follow the link to the “LYSOL® Match & Win” Instant Win Game & Sweepstakes.  You must complete the registration process in order to be eligible to win.  Follow instructions to play the Instant Win Game to reveal whether you are the potential instant winner or not.  There will be one (1) potential winner randomly selected each day using a computer-generated algorithm during the promotional period. 

Entrants may enter the Instant Win Game once each day during the promotional period and there is no limit to the number of times an entrant may win over the course of the promotional period. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of plays by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that participant's plays and that participant may be disqualified. All entries submitted shall become the sole property of promotional entities and will be neither acknowledged nor returned.

The Instant Win Game results will be instantly displayed. If you receive a winning instant win message, you are a potential winner (subject to verification of eligibility and compliance of the terms of these official rules), and you will be contacted to receive information on how to claim your prize and the applicable prize claim deadline.  All prize claims are subject to verification and eligibility confirmation.  In the event that there are no Instant Win Game players during a winning time period, the instant win prize for that time period will be awarded in a second chance drawing (as defined below).  Limit one (1) instant win game play per person/email address per day for the duration of the promotional period. All entries become the sole property of the sponsor and shall not be returned. Released parties (as defined herein) are not responsible for incomplete, illegible, corrupted, mutilated, lost, stolen, misdirected, late or postage-due mail or codes. Administrator is solely responsible for the functionality of the Instant Win Game.

Each Instant Win Game potential winner may be required to sign and return to sponsor, within ten (10) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release in order to claim his/her prize and fulfill any such other requirements as determined by administrator. If any potential winner cannot be contacted, or fails to sign and return the affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (when applicable) within the required time period, potential winner forfeits prize. Potential winner will receive their prizes approximately 2-6 weeks after the conclusion of the promotional period. If any potential winner cannot be contacted or if prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. There will be two (2) alternate drawings after which the prize will remain unawarded.

All potential winning plays are subject to verification by sponsor or administrator, whose decisions are final and binding. An entrant is not a winner of any prize, even if the instant win game should so indicate, unless and until entrant's eligibility and the potential winning play has been verified and entrant has been notified that verification is complete.
 
Sponsor will not accept screen shots or other evidence of winning in lieu of its validation process. Any play that occurs after the system has failed for any reason is deemed a defective play and is void and will not be honored.

Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected registrations, which will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any registration or play, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant or player. The “authorized account holder” is the person assigned an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.

 

5. SWEEPSTAKES: TO ENTER: Enter the Instant Win Game online as described above.  Every time you enter the Instant Win Game, you will automatically be entered into Grand Prize Sweepstakes random drawing. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Online entries only. ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON/PER EMAIL/PER COMPUTER PER DAY WILL BE ACCEPTED.  You may enter the Instant Win Game once a day. No mass entries or mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. Grand Prize Sweepstakes entries become the property of Sponsor. Winner will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about 11/9/09 from all valid entries received. Drawing will be conducted by an independent judging firm whose decisions are final. Grand Prize Sweepstakes winner will be notified by phone, mail and/or e-mail by 11/30/09. Prize claim subject to verification and eligibility confirmation. Sweepstakes potential winner may be required to sign and return to sponsor, an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release in order to claim his/her prize and fulfill any such other requirements as determined by administrator.

Sweepstakes prize will be forfeited if the potential winner is unreachable, he/she does not make direct contact with Sponsor by date specified in notification letter, he/she fails to sign and return the affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (when applicable) within the required time period, or if the prize is returned as undeliverable.  In the event that a prize is forfeited, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.

 

6. TELL A FRIEND PROGRAM: After you enter the LYSOL® Match & Win Instant Win Game & Sweepstakes, you will be invited to submit the names and email addresses of up to five friends to invite them to play the Instant Win Game & Sweepstakes. People that you refer will receive an email solely notifying them about the promotion. You may only refer persons with whom you have an existing relationship. You may not refer any person who has previously indicated to you that he or she does not wish to receive emails of this nature from you.

 

7. PRIZES:
INSTANT WIN:One (1) Instant Win Game prize will be awarded each day during the promotional period for a total of 30 instant win prize winners. Instant Win Game potential winner will receive either a $25 gift card or a backpack of school supplies (estimated value: $30).  Total estimated ARV of Instant Win Prizes:  $900. 

SWEEPSTAKES: One (1) Sweepstakes Grand Prize will be awarded for the entire promotional period.  One potential Sweepstakes grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 gift check.  Total estimated ARV of Sweepstakes Grand Prize: $1,000.

No transfer, or cash or other substitution of prizes is allowed, except that promotion entities reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to substitute a prize or prize component of comparable or greater value. Promotion entities will not replace any lost or stolen prize once in the possession or control of the prize recipient.  Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. 

8. SECOND CHANCE DRAWING:  If a daily prize(s) is not claimed as per these official rules, it will be awarded in a second chance drawing conducted on or about November 9, 2009. Any eligible participant who plays but does not win instantly will automatically be entered into the second chance drawing for the unclaimed daily prize, if available.  Odds of winning in the second chance drawing (if such drawing is held) are dependent on the number of eligible entries received.  Potential second chance winners will be notified by e-mail and/or mail and will be required to fulfill all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. 

9. PRIZE CONDITIONS: Each Entrant hereby irrevocably and perpetually waives the right to assert as a cost of receiving any prize any and all costs of verification and redemption to redeem such prize and any liability which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem such prize. All applicable federal, state, local or other tax liabilities (including income taxes) arising from this Promotion will be the sole responsibility of the prize recipients. Except where prohibited by applicable law, regulation, rule or order, the entry and acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to Promotion Entities to use such person’s Submission, name, photograph, likeness (including non-photographic and simulated), statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state address for any and all promotional or advertising purposes in connection with this Promotion and/or the Promotion Entities’ business operations and product/service offerings, on a worldwide basis and in all forms of media, now or hereafter known, in perpetuity, without review, permission or further compensation of any amount or kind whatsoever. All entries are subject to verification prior to awarding of any prize. Eligibility, age, and any and all other claims shall be subject to verification prior to the actual awarding of a Prize.

 

10. PROMOTION CONDITIONS: VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws of the United States. By participating, each Instant Win Game & Sweepstakes Entrant hereby irrevocably and perpetually (a) agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Promotion Entities and (b) waives any right to claim ambiguity in the Promotion or these Official Rules. Each Promotion Entrant hereby irrevocably and perpetually agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Promotion Entities and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, attorneys, representatives and agents from and against any and all claims, judgments, damages, losses, disability, attorneys' fees, and costs of litigation and settlement, as well as any liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from (i) redemption, acceptance, possession, ownership, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity or participation in this Promotion, or (ii) printing, distribution, production or mailing/e-mailing/communication/transmission errors. Promotion Entities or their affiliates may rescind any promotion found to contain such errors, without liability, at its sole discretion. NEITHER PROMOTION ENTITIES NOR THEIR REPRESENTATIVES MAKE ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, RELATIVE TO THE USE OF ANY PRIZE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, QUALITY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE (UNLESS PROMOTION ENTITIES ELECT TO PROVIDE ANY PRIZE RECIPIENT WITH ANY EXPRESS WRITTEN WARRANTIES). FURTHER, NEITHER SPONSOR NOR THE PROMOTION ENTITIES ACCEPT ANY ADDITIONAL EXPENSES, OMISSIONS, DELAYS OR ACTS OF ANY GOVERNMENT OR AUTHORITY.

RESTRICTIONS: Promotion Entities shall not be liable to Selected Entrant for failure to supply a prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulations(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, threatened terrorist acts, terrorist acts, air raid, blackout, act of public enemy, earthquake, war (declared or undeclared), fire, flood, epidemic, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other similar or dissimilar cause beyond Promotion Entity’s sole and reasonable control.

 

11. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Promotion Entities are not responsible for: (a) lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable, incomplete or indecipherable entries due to system errors or failures, or faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions and/or entries; (b) technical failures of any kinds; (c) failures of any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion; (d) unauthorized human and/or mechanical intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (e) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; or (f) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from any Entrant's participation in the Promotion or receipt or use of any prize. Promotion Entities may prohibit an Entrant from participating in the Promotion or receiving any prize if, in Promotion Entities' sole discretion, Promotion Entities determines that such Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unsafe or unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other Entrants or Promotion Entities' representatives. Promotion Entities reserve the right to cancel or suspend the Promotion, in their sole discretion, should it receive fewer than 100 entries. 12. PRIVACY POLICY AND TERMS OF USE: All personal information collected by Promotion Entities will be used for administration of the Promotion. In addition, Entrants may receive email correspondence from, or on behalf of the Sponsor or promotional partners, subject to the Sponsor’s privacy policy. Sponsor uses reasonable commercial efforts to comply with Federal CAN-SPAM guidelines, and Entrants may subsequently opt-out of receiving further emails by following the opt-out instructions contained in the email. Please refer to Sponsor’s privacy policy located at: www.lysol.com for important information regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by Sponsor. Any questions regarding privacy matters should be directed to the address set out below. In additional, information provided by Entrants may be used by Sponsor to send Entrants marketing and advertising materials by mail.
