The spring tornadoes and severe storms have left thousands of residents without homes, while severely damaging schools, businesses and community centers. Disaster relief is a critical part of the Lysol® Mission for Health, and as such, Lysol® is making every effort to help the affected areas stay safe and healthy after the storms, and rebuild what has been lost.
Lysol® will be partnering with the American Red Cross through AmeriCares to help those affected by the storms. It is our mission to help families return to their everyday lives and happy homes.

Lysol® knows that doing more for health means going where help is needed the most. That's why we support disaster relief efforts. Lysol® is committed to serving as a champion of health for those affected by disaster.
When disasters strike, health is a major concern for families as well as the facilities they rely on such as hospitals, clinics and temporary shelters. Through a donation to Save the Children, Lysol® is providing aid to families and children when and where it is needed most.
Through Lysol®'s partnership with Save the Children, we are helping to serve families struggling during a disaster and through recovery by addressing their immediate needs in areas such as shelter, health, hygiene and general well-being. Our support will be used to help enable Save the Children to respond immediately to families in the areas affected by disasters.
Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in need in the United States and around the world. Recognized for our commitment to accountability, innovation and measurable results, Save the Children works in the poorest, most remote communities around the world to provide children and families with the tools they need to fight poverty.
Save the Children disaster relief efforts include:
This is one of Save the Children's signature programs in U.S. emergencies and around the world. Under the supervision of caring adults, Safe Spaces provide children with a special area where they can play, socialize, express themselves, and begin to recover through a variety of games and activities.
When significant numbers of children are at risk, Save the Children responds directly to disasters and supports communities as they recover. For example, in response to Hurricane Katrina, Save the Children served nearly 200,000 children and caregivers in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Activities included helping to renovate and improve the quality of the area's child care centers. As a result of lessons learned during the Katrina response, Save the Children advocates for basic safeguards to protect kids who are in school or child care during disasters, such as requiring all licensed child care centers to have a plan to reunite children with their families and requiring schools to have a clear written evacuation plan in place.
