How to disinfect doorknobs

It’s easy to disinfect your doorknobs, and you can do this using a disinfecting spray or wipe.

 

We would recommend Lysol® Disinfectant Spray and Lysol® Disinfecting Wipes. They kill 99.9% of viruses, bacteria and fungi, including eight cold and flu viruses when used as directed on hard surfaces.

TO USE LYSOL® DISINFECTANT SPRAY

  1. Pre-clean surface prior to use.
  2. Hold can upright 6” to 8” inches from surface.
  3. Spray 6 to 7 seconds until covered with mist.
  4. Let stand for the 3 minutes, allowing it to air dry.

TO USE LYSOL® DISINFECTING WIPES

  1. Pre-clean surface prior to use.
  2. Use enough fresh wipes to thoroughly wet surface.
  3. Allow to remain wet for 4 minutes.
  4. Toss dirty wipe away. 

Please note: Always use Lysol® products as directed on the label. Not recommended for brass, copper or aluminum surfaces.

 

Your doorknobs might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to keeping on top of hygiene in the home.
